Maddie’s Approach

I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and Licensed Professional Counselor. I work from a person-centered approach, which means that at the core of my therapy work is empathy, authenticity, and curiosity without judgement. In therapy, I will help you foster more compassion for yourself and others, develop insight to your inner world, and find practical tools for coping with whatever stressors or adjustments you may be facing. I will join you in the heaviness, but I will also seek to leave you feeling lighter.

Find solutions for…

Anxiety

Perfectionism & improving self-worth

Navigating your 20s

Maintaining well-being as a helping professional

Healing old wounds, esp. if you have a family member with mental illness or suspected mental illness

Grief & loss

My hope is that when you leave our counseling sessions…

you will feel not only listened to and heard, but deeply understood and seen

in your imperfections, your struggles, your embarrassments, your joys. I want you to see your own power and courage, and come to value yourself as you are, not as you wish you were or as you think you should be.

The benefits of therapy with the comforts of home.

Do you want to have appointments in your pjs with a cup of your favorite tea, or straight after a hard workout at the gym, or over your lunch break at work? All of your appointments with me will be over telehealth using a private, confidential platform.

“Life will ask you to stand tall and grow even when you are tired. And in these moments of expansion, you will see that you are more than a match for what scares you. You are stronger than you imagined.”
